The reason behind it is that when an text is processed using a content spinner like OpenAI GPT spinner, WordAI, Spinner Chief etc, the plugin processes only the title and main content. The WordPress post excerpt is not processed to save money spent on using third-party service APIs.
Consequently, after processing, the main text is copied to the WordPress post excerpt, causing full post texts to be displayed instead of their brief content. To address this issue, you can start by adjusting your WordPress theme to limit the displayed post texts on your site’s main page to a specific word count. This will ensure that only the excerpts are shown instead of the full text.
However, if your theme does not have the necessary option, you can use the Shorten post excerpts option in the feed settings. This allows you to limit the post excerpt’s size to a specified word count, ensuring that only the excerpt is displayed.
Alternatively, if you prefer not to generate a WordPress post excerpt at all and leave it empty, set the Shorten post excerpts value to zero. This will prevent the excerpt from being created, leaving it empty.
